The Pitter Patter of...

Oooh how I love Lindsey's little feet! (Even though they are not exactly pitter pattering yet.) We had fun playing with them and trying to get some artsy pictures of them. You can see that her skin was still peeling- the hazards of 9 months in the water, I guess. She had a great night last night! She slept from about 9:45 until 2:30 and then again until 6. She is taking a nap in her bassinet right now! Hopefully we are turning the corner and getting the sleep thing down!

A smile to melt a mommy's heart!

One Month Old

Lindsey is one month old today! I know I am crazy, but I am going to attempt a trip to Sears to have her picture made. I did that for the other two, so the tradition (torture) must continue. Here are a few pictures from around the house. She had her first bottle from dad last Tuesday while I went to Jared's baseball game, and Lauren fed her a little on Friday. I pumped again so I could attend the Mother's Day brunch at Lauren's school. It was fabulous! She sang 4 songs and made me several sweet gifts. My fabulous husband babysat so I could to go to the Spa at Canyon Oaks for a facial and massage. Wonderful!! Then we had a visit from Mimi, Pa, and Leslie. It was the perfect Mother's Day weekend!

Lindsey is smiling and cooing sometimes now- so cute! She has her fussy periods, but is overall doing very well! We have been going places and doing things- we were even able to go out to eat a couple of times while she slept in her carrier. Gotta love that! Sweet girl!

Baby Days

We are all enjoying Lindsey. The kids love to look at her and hold her whenever they get a chance! She's letting us sleep- 2, 3, and 4 hours at a time...which is fine with me. Friends have been bringing us meals, which has been such a blessing! I am just ready to get out and about a little bit more. We've gone to Lauren's t-ball game and Jared's baseball game (mostly sitting in the car), McDonald's, Wal-Mart, the dentist, and the grocery store (where she screamed and everyone in the store was staring at me). She's still somewhat unpredictable, so I haven't ventured very far or for very long yet. She and I both have a touch of allergies (runny nose and sneezing) right now. And goodness knows we wouldn't want to catch the dreaded "swine flu"- which is all they talk about on the news! She has had several sponge baths and seems to like them fairly well. That's about all I have to report for now.

I d0 want to record a couple of Lauren funnies... I have been breastfeeding, and Lauren walked in the room twice when I was feeding her on the same side. She asked me, "How come she only drinks out of that privacy and not the other privacy?" And another day- I forget what I asked her to do- but she told me that she couldn't because, "My brain is taking a field trip." That's a new one! Usually, it's, "I can't because my legs are hurting!" Oh, the drama...
